Hemro Group sees ‘record’ 50% annual sales growth
Swiss coffee grinder and components maker reports healthy demand across its Professional Solutions, Component Solutions and Home Solutions businesses, but cites supply chain bottlenecks as a temporary challenge.
Hemro Group has enjoyed a 50% increase in sales over the last year thanks to ‘strong growth’ across its professional, components and home businesses.
In its annual report, the maker of Mahlkönig, Ditting, Anfim and Hey Café coffee grinders said its Professional Solutions business had shown ‘strong positive development’, with the expansion of partner networks ‘enormously’ increasing demand across all four brands.
Strong demand for built-in grinders and burrs in fully automatic coffee machines and the home segment contributed to the ‘pleasant business development’ of Hemro’s Components Solutions business. In its Home Solutions segment, Hemro credited the introduction of the Mahlkönig X54 to the home market as yielding positive results for the business group.
‘Record demand’ for its products had, however, temporarily created longer lead times, Hemro said, as the group grappled with supply chain bottle necks that have dogged the global economic recovery from the pandemic.
Hemro said the group was responding to these challenges by implementing ‘extensive’ capacity expansions and investments, including opening a new plant in Hamburg, Germany, and expanding capacity at its sites in Milan, Italy, and Changzhou, China.
Nevertheless, Hemro said the ‘record’ results placed the group in a strong position for the coming year.
